Drug and Alcohol Rehab Alumni Program

Drug and Alcohol Rehab Alumni Program

Miracle Recovery Center offers a lifetime Alumni Program for all participants who have successfully completed their treatment program and is in good standing with the facility.  Our therapists have worked hard to design and develop an alumni program specific to our patients’ needs regarding aftercare and long term sobriety.

Sharing Experience, Strength and Hope

During treatment, patients will bond to one another sharing intimate feelings and experiences, building a support network of peers who are also in recovery.  These relationships that are developed while in treatment flourish within a safe, nurturing environment and can most often develop into life long friendships.

Have Fun in Sobriety

The Alumni Program at Miracle Recovery Center focuses on having sober fun and giving back to the community.  Post treatment, it’s absolutely imperative that patients stay connected and plugged into the recovery network they built while in treatment.

Stay Connected

Our facility hosts monthly Alumni Meetings  where patients can attend a group for an hour and talk recovery while facilitated by a therapist.  By participating in these aftercare groups, patients feel less of the stress that life’s responsibilities can have while newly sober, they share the good, the bad and the ugly, receiving positive feedback, solution and peer support.

It’s common for newly sober individuals to fear what the future may hold in terms of fun in sobriety.  Often the thought will occur, “I will never be able to_______________again, it just won’t be any fun,” and will take them right back to addiction to drugs and alcohol.  We, at Miracle Recovery Center, believe that getting sober is merely a new beginning of healthy and fruitful relationships with the self as well as others who share a common goal.

Participate in Weekly Outings

Alumni Participants also will be encouraged to engage in the weekly outing for our current patients, so that they can share their experience, strength and hope with the newcomers in the program.  Outings include activities such as attending a professional sporting event, bowling or other group sports, museum or art exhibits, amusement park trips, movie theaters, and much more!

Service Work and Accountability:  Our Big Brother Big Sister Program

The Alumni Program is offered to both men and women in a non gender specific group.  We have included a big brother/big sister program giving each Alumni member the opportunity to help same gender patients with their recovery and accountability.  Participating in this portion of the Alumni Program is a large factor in what sets Miracle Recovery Center apart from the rest of the treatment centers that are available today.  We truly believe that a key element of long term sobriety and recovery is to give back that which was given to you, in other terms, to show someone with less recovery or sober time how to stay sober and have fun doing it.
